On February 13th, PTA will host a parent workshop on Restorative Practices. FREE PIZZA AND KID SITTING. Come at 6:00pm for pizza and a brief PTA meeting. Kirsten Zazo, AUSD Chief Student Support Officer, will give a presentation on the new approach to student behavior management and school climate that AUSD is rolling out to all schools.
Restorative Practices is an alternative to traditional, punitive discipline systems. It is based on building a school climate of connection, community and support. This new approach will be implemented at Haight next school year. This is an exciting and valuable opportunity for parents to learn hands on about how Restorative Practices works.
