Help Make A Difference at Love Elementary!
Love Elementary School’s Walk-a-Thon will take place Friday, October 14, 2022 during PE. This event encourages physical fitness while raising money for important PTA-sponsored programs.
Our goal is to raise $28,000 to fund vital programs for Love students and teachers, including teacher classroom supplies, art supplies for the art docent program, staff and supplies for the garden docent program, field trips, community events, and more. The PTA is budgeted to spend over $200 per student this year. We will need your help more than ever this year to reach our goal and help bring these great opportunities to our students.

Collecting Pledges
Your child will receive a Walk-a-Thon envelope with pledge form in class the week of September 26th. Please use the envelope to track sponsors and collect donations by cash or check payable to Love Elementary PTA.
You can also create an online donation page through 99Pledges.
99Pledges Online Donor System
Your child can help you create a personalized page and fundraising pledge link to send to friends and family. Donors simply click the link and make a pledge or flat donation in a few easy steps. Parents and kids can monitor progress toward their fundraising goals. 99Pledges is private and secure, so no one can get to your child’s page unless you provide them with your unique link.

Collect Pledges
After creating a 99Pledges page, students share their walk/run goal with family, and friends, to ask for a donation to support their efforts! 99Pledges makes it easy to send email or post the link to your social media to start collecting pledges. Please be careful not to solicit donations from strangers.
Donations may also be made directly by visiting the Love Walk-a-Thon fundraiser homepage and clicking on the “Donate Now” button.
Don’t forget to include the student’s name to get credit towards their fundraising goal!
Donations are 100% tax deductible. The PTA is a 501c3 non-profit organization (FEIN: 94-6172294).
Remember to ask if your employer will match your donation! If you have any questions or concerns related to making an online donation to Love PTA, please email fundraising@lovepta.org.
Track Your Walking on October 14th
During PE on October 14th, all Love students will participate in the Walk-a-Thon. Coach D and adult volunteers will be there to help students track their laps. Then, parents and caregivers can help students add the laps to their pledge sheet and/or to the 99Pledges page to calculate the amount raised by donors who made a per/lap pledge.
We ask that all donation envelopes be turned in to your teacher by Friday, October 21 to have your child’s efforts counted and be eligible for prizes.
Prizes
Fundraising is hard work! To thank our students, the following prizes will be awarded.
Prizes are cumulative. For example, if you reach the “Raise $150” Goal, you also receive the prizes associated with the “Raise $10” and “Raise $75” Goals.
Individual Prizes
- Raise $10 = Wrist Band and Key Chain
- Raise $40 = Playground Ball
- Raise $80= Visor
- Raise $150 = Love Elementary T-shirt
- Raise $220= No Running in PE for a Day
School Wide Prizes
- Student that raises the most money = lunch with Coach D
- Classroom that raises the most money = special party with teacher
